New Buffalo Middle School Bulletin for Saturday, April 25, 2026

Study Tables: A quiet location for academic support with a New Buffalo MS teacher and a free snack is available after school on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30 - 4:45 pm. Additionally, New Buffalo provides transportation home free of charge for students who live in district. If your child would like to be a part of this program, they must go to the Study Tables location after school and sign-in.


Bison Pride Field Trip: Students qualifying for the Third Trimester Incentive Field Trip will travel to Urban Air in Valparaiso, IN on Tuesday, June 2nd from 8:30am - 12:30 pm. Third Trimester qualification criteria are:

    * All As, Bs, or Cs in all classes
    * No ISS or OSS
    * No Detentions
    * No more than 5 tardies in any one class
    * No more than 5 absences in any one class
    * No more than 1 missing assignment in each class

New Buffalo Summer Day Camp: Registration is open for the 2026 New Buffalo Summer Day Camp season. Camp dates are Monday, July 6th through Friday, July 31st. A late fee will be charged for campers registering after June 9th, so visit www.nbas.org and sign up today!


NBHS Color Guard Event: Did you know that you don't have to be a band member to join the High School Color Guard? Are you an 8th grader who is interested in being a Color Guard member? Please join them on April 18th and 25th from 10 am - 2 pm to get information regarding the upcoming marching season, learn flag techniques, and put together a routine that will be performed by the current NBHS marching band's color guard. Bring comfortable clothing and tennis shoes that allow you to move freely along with a water bottle. Any questions regarding this event can be directed to Mrs. Hoyt, the band director.


Art Attack: Come view the New Buffalo Area Schools Student Showcase on Saturday, April 25th from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm in the NBAS STEAM building.


Half Day School/Parent Teacher Conferences: Thursday, April 30th is a half day of school. Students will dismiss at 11:50am. Parent Teacher Conferences will take place in person from 1:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. Please see your Parent Newsletter and conference mailings for further details.


Half Day School: Friday, May 1st is a half day of school. Students will dismiss at 11:50am.


Washington DC Trip: 8th grade students will travel to Washington DC May 2nd - 6th.

Bison 5K: The Annual 5K for New Buffalo Area Schools will be held on Monday, May 18th at 1:50 pm. This year's theme is Carnival for a Cure. Please join us at the multiplex field and help raise money for Berrien County Cancer Service, Inc. Participants can run a full 5K course while also enjoying many other fun activities!


Bison 5K T-Shirt Orders: Carnival for a Cure t-shirt order forms are available available in the middle school office or in Mr. Caudle's weekly newsletter. Order forms and money are due no later than Monday, May 4th. All 5K proceeds will be donated to the Berrien County Cancer Service.

Band Concert: Our Middle School and High School Band members will present their annual Spring Band Concert on Tuesday, May 12th at 7:00 pm in the NBAS Performing Arts Center.
